SATs Revision

Please follow the link above to find resources that your child can use to help them revise in the run up to SATs. You do not need to print these out in order to complete them. Your child does not need to bring their work into school, but please do make a note of the areas they have covered in their diary. 

English

In the English folder, there is a selection of reading, spelling and grammar resources. For each sheet, the answers are provided to mark and also to help your children if they are stuck so they can learn from their mistakes.

Maths

There is revision for every topic of Maths separated into easy to find folders. We recommend that your child spends time revising any areas they are least confident in. All the answers are provided and for the majority of the questions, it also shows how to solve the question. So, if they are stuck, they can have a look at the answers and see how it should be done. Please also continue to do some times tables practise using TT Rockstars or Hit the Button.

Please find below, documents that could help your child remain relaxed and prepared for their assessments.  

Year 6 is a very exciting year as pupils enjoy being the eldest in the school and excellent role models for the younger children.  Our learning activities are interesting, challenging and engaging and are designed to equip all pupils with the necessary knowledge, skills and increased independence they need to thrive at high school and beyond.

Our Y6 pupils are given a variety of roles and responsibilities such as daily jobs, Reading Rockstars, library duties and SSOC. We are proud of how they undertake these tasks and demonstrate growing maturity.

 In May, our pupils take Statutory Assessement Tests in Reading, Grammar Spelling & Punctuation and Maths.  This is the culmination of all of our hard work throughout Key Stage Two and we enjoy celebrating how much we have learnt over time.

We were proud to take two teams of Year 6 children to the World Book Day Quiz at Huddersfield Town Hall. Both teams had the mammoth yet enjoyable task of reading 20 books to prepare for the quiz and both teams did brilliantly on the day with our Team A - Sebastian, Jacob, Dawud and Jordan - taking 1st place! Well done to both teams and especially our winners; we're very proud of you all.
