Uniform
Uniform is important to us and we take pride in looking smart and being part of a Rowley Lane J, I & N School family.
Please make sure all uniform, coats & PE kits are marked clearly with your child’s name
Navy Blue or Grey School Trousers (not leggings), Shorts, School Skirt (not Lycra) or Pinafore Dress.
White or light blue polo shirt (with or without school logo)
Navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan – with or without school logo. (No hoodies)
Blue & white checked summer uniform for warmer weather
Footwear must be plain black secure footwear
(no football boots, flip flops). Plain black trainers are permitted - see examples below.
PE Kit - For Reception to Year 6
Wear PE kit to school instead of Uniform on designated days. You will be notified of the PE day (s) for your child's year group
Plain white t-Shirt
Plain navy blue shorts, leggings or skort
Navy blue jogging bottoms (optional for colder weather)
Navy blue tracksuit top (optional for colder weather)
Dark coloured trainers (not pumps)
Basic PE uniform can be bought from any recognised school uniform retailer/supermarket.
Navy joggers can be plain (available online or from school uniform retailers)
or personalised (with embroidered initials) which are available from Term Time Wear.
Leggings can be jersey leggings (widely available) or Plain navy sports leggings (available from sports shops or from Next uniform (shown on slide show)– Navy gym leggings £8-£12

Logo uniform items can be bought from either Term Time Wear or Natasha in Huddersfield – also available to buy online via MClothing
Basic Uniform items can be bought from the above or any other recognised School Uniform retailer/supermarket.
You can also use Uniform Exchange to get 'good as new' uniform.
If you are eligible for Free School Meals (see here), then you will receive a voucher entitling you to:
- embroidered sweatshirt or cardigan
- embroidered blue or white polo shirt
- indoor PE shorts and t-shirt

Bags
School book bags with logos are available from the school office (£6.00 - long strap included)
Alternative bags for school items must be able to fit flat inside a school drawer (35cm x 26cm x 5.5cm max)
School book bags (with or without logo) are preferred as these do fit inside drawers. – No Handbags
PE Bags need to be drawstring bags with names clearly on the outside.
Other Items
Coats and outdoor wear – Any colour coat/fleece however embroidered fleeces are available from Term Time Wear for outdoor wear.
Nail polish and make up is not allowed
Hair that is long enough to be tied up, must be tied up.
No jewellery apart from a simple watch (watches with cameras or messaging facilities are not allowed)
Stud earrings are allowed but must be removed for swimming and PE.
Mobile phones are not allowed in school.
