Rowley Lane Junior Infant And Nursery School

Yesterday Rowley Lane pupils brightened up a dreary day with their colourful clothes for our Rainbow themed non-uniform day to support the local Rainbow Baby Bank.  Children and staff embraced the spirit of the day dressing in their bright colours to help support local families in need. 

The support was overwhelming and exceeded all expectations.  Families from both school and pre-school generously donated an abundance of essential items such as nappies and toiletries shown in the photograph.  Aside from this there were numerous bags full of new and nearly new baby clothes, toys, books, blankets and some larger items.  In addition to the physical donations an impressive £320.04 was also collected for the charity which will further help them provide essential supplies.

Representatives from the Rainbow Baby Bank were absolutely delighted with the generosity shown by our school community.  The donations will make a real and meaningful difference to families facing hardship.
